If a tree blogs in the forest will anyone reblog it? When writers turn to blogging, they often do it to gain a voice and work to attain some popularity. Some bloggers have a pre-built audience when they start. If you’re like me, you have to build that popularity from scratch. You have to prepare for popularity and then push it out there into the respective channels.

Can big changes come in small packages?
For the first years of coding, I built most things from scratch. Login systems, e-commerce systems, RSS generators, content management systems-- you name it. After a while, I developed a handy little spellbook of code for use and reuse in Perl, PHP and ASP. Still, that was my spellbook. By the early 2000s, most developers were learning that they didn’t have to re-invent the wheel. They used, reused or found code that worked.
Lots of businesses stress about tapping into the new customer audiences. Simultaneously, they stress about social media. There is sometimes full-on superstition in response to the question of marketing and engagement through social media. People need a stress free approach to social media marketing and management.

There are some way points in my future. Some are just gonna happen eventually. Some could happen if I did the right course adjustments. Some things are not in the cards-- even if people ask me to get into those roles, I will not do it. By my age, I know which is what and why. It’s not that I’ve closed off options, I’ve just recognized the river on my life.
